About Me: Hi there! I'm Bella. I'm about a year and half, 39 lbs. and am officially on the market to find my perfect match! I came into hart's care after an unfortunate encounter with a porcupine. Did you know those quills can migrate out for up to a year? Jeez. Like the initial encounter wasn't bad enough...ANYWAYS, on to the positives! (Get comfy... there's a lot.)

- I'm in LOVE with my foster siblings. Any size. Any breed. Any dog. Love 'em. Need 'em by my side.

- House training was a breeze.

- Crate training? Pleasssssssssse. Easy!

- Tiny humans? What's not to love?

- Looking for a running partner? I'm your gal because running is my forte. My foster mom is helping me out with clicker training which is cool and I guess I'm doing pretty good with it!

I have a lot of energy that I need help burning off, and will also need lots of cuddles because… well who doesn't. Not too much to ask for, right?!

Health Notes: Bella came into hart's care after meeting a porcupine and she ended up on the sharp end of the introduction. Bella went straight into surgery for the removal of her full face mask of quills. Adoptive parents for Bella need to be aware that while she has undergone surgery for the removal of quills, they can continue to migrate and erupt for up to a year. Bella is up to date with DACPP, Bordatella, Rabies and is spayed and microchipped.

Behavior Notes: Bella is a lovely dog with a wonderful temperament. She is high energy and loves to chase other dogs (and to be chased)! She would do best in a home with another dog or dogs, as she does get her confidence from having a fellow canine. When she is alone, she can be a little fearful, and will bark and growl at strange people. She is wonderful with children and is very gentle with them. She loves cuddles, and is very affectionate. She has not been tested with cats. She has had no issues with house training. She is great in the crate. She has been fed in the crate as resource guarding has been seen. Her foster mom is clicker training her, and she is responding wonderfully. She is great on leash. Due to her high energy and the need for mental stimulation, she needs a yard to run around and play in to help burn some of that energy of. She can also do well with a long walk a day. Bella has some prey drive in her, as she will chase ducks, geese and deer which also says she can be a slight flight risk, as once she starts chasing she will keep chasing. She has her basic commands down, though.
