About Me: Hi my name is Felix and I am such a good boy! I am house-trained and I am really good at following commands! I have no health problems and have had all of my shots. I enjoy going for walks and chasing toys and playing. I also like to snuggle and love my people. I have to tell ya though, that sometimes I get frightened. I am afraid of things like meeting new people, especially strangers. And when I am scared I might bite. I want to assure you though, that I am not agressive, just protecting myself and my people from situations that make me feel uneasy. I do have a trainer and I am working hard to have trust and not be afraid, but it is really tough sometimes. New people or visitors have to be introduced to me slowly, gently, and in a way that makes me feel comfortable. Because of all of this, I am looking for a forever family that is not too big, not too noisy and not too busy. I like things quiet, calm and slow-paced. That's just how I am and probably how I am always gonna be. To be honest, I really don't care for kids or cats either. I am perfectly content with just me and my owners (and maybe another dog) sharing a nice walk or a snuggle. If you are patient and kind, and have a nice quiet stress-free home that is missing a loving boy like me, then I hope we can be together furever.

Behavior Notes: I'm a hart+ dog! For information about the hart+ program, please review the hart+ adoption process.

Felix is extremely fearful of strangers coming into the house, because of this fear he resorts to biting. Felix's adopters must understand that this is how Felix is and will always be, he needs a quiet home that has very little foot traffic coming and going. He has a trainer involved with him to help him out with a strict management plan that must be put into place every time someone new comes to visit. He is a dog that cannot be rushed. Every encounter needs to be positive, slow and on his terms. When visitors come over, he must be on leash, away from the door, not allowed to interact until he is calm. If there are to be a group of people, Felix should be put into a room away from the group for the duration of the visit, so that he doesn't get overwhelmed, with lots of toys and treats, to distract him.

Health Notes: Felix is a healthy boy with no medical concerns. Felix is is up to date with DACPP, Bordatella, Rabies and is neutered and microchipped.
