Hi! I'm Gabby!

Gabby
-
Mixed breed
-
6 years
-
Female
Weight (approx): 104 lbs
Energy: Low - Medium
Children: Unknown, but likely good with
older childer
Dogs: With proper introductions
Cats: No
Health Notes: Gabby came to hart
after her human passed away and no one from her family was able to
offer her the care she needs. Gabby is considered a senior and a
giant breed. While in hart's care, Gabby's arthritis was reassessed
and a new treatment regime started of cartrophen, metacam and
flexadin and is moving around like a young dog again. Gabby is up
to date with DACPP, Bordatella, Rabies and is spayed and
microchipped.
Ideal Home: Gabby is a pretty low energy
gal, but she does love to walk and play! She loves to hang out all
day with her family, with moderate amounts of mental and physical
stimulation. Gabby would do well as the only dog in an adoptive
home, but may be able to make new dog friends with slow, controlled
introductions. Due to her prey drive, Gabby is not able to live in
a home with any cats or small animals. Gabby has not been around
children while in foster care, but due to her size we believe she
would do well with older children. Gabby does have athritis in her
left hind leg, and will require lifelong management. She is
currently on cartophen, metacam and dietary supplements. A modified
contract will be required to ensure her potential adoptors provide
continuing care for her athritis.
