About Me: *BEEP BEEP BEEP* 'There's the alarm! It's 8:30, time to get uuuup! Come and let me out of this kennel, fam! Woof!' I can't wait to see my foster family, folks! I let them sleep peacefully all night, and now I need to go outside, and hopefully they'll take me for a long walk. Or run. Or let me outside to run around the yard for a while! Oh boy, I can't wait to have fun today! As you can tell, I looooove to be active. Right now, I get to spend time with dogs and other large animals, and we go camping on weekends. It would be amazing if my forever family had a dog, and a big yard for us to play in too, but honestly, I'm not that hard to please. If you let me get some energy out during the day, and cuddle me at night… oh, and maybe a couple squeaky toys and antlers… I will be the happiest pup. By the way, I also know quite a few commands, and am very affectionate, so don't worry, you'll be the happiest pup family too!

Behavior Notes: Skye loves her antlers. She is now using a "Go Slow" bowl and is learning to sit and wait before she can eat. Skye is a bit protective of her food so her foster home is working on this with her!

Health Notes: This little beauty came to hart as a partnership with Animal Care and Control Centre. Skye was diagnosed with demodectic mange. Demodectic mange is caused by a tiny mite on the skin. These mites are normal and always present in small numbers but when a dog's immune system is compromised, the number of mites get out of control. When this happens there can be hair loss, scabbing and sores and the dog is usually itchy and uncomfortable. In Skye's case, she has completely recovered, has her full fur coat back and is in good health all around. Skye is up to date with DACPP, Bordatella, Rabies is spayed and microchipped.
