About Me: A few years ago (2014), I came into this world in loving hands as a wee pup. The cuddly people at hart found me a family. Sadly, I was brought back to hart this summer since they couldn't care for me. But I don't quite know why, because I am a very healthy girl. All I want is someone to give kisses, snuggle with, and a place to run…I even like sleeping in my crate. They only thing you should be aware of is I get a bit itchy sometimes if I don't get the right food.

Behavior Notes:   Stella is showing some reactivity towards anything that has wheels. She needs consistent training to show her that wheels are not a threat. She has some stranger danger, and protects her property. Through positve reinforcement training, Stella can be trained that wheels and strangers can be a positive in her world. Stella can also be selective with some dogs, so slow, proper introductions are a must. Stella is a dog that cannot be forced to like a dog. Stella is a huge snuggler though and believes she is a lap dog. Stella requires an experienced family that is familiar with her breed.

Health Notes: Stella was born in care in 2014 and adopted out as a wee pup. Her original adopters were not able to continue to provide Stella with care, so she came back to her hart

family in July of 2017. Like many pitbulls, Stella has demonstrated skin sensitivities and since coming back into hart's care, has been treated for yeast infections in her ears and put on a special diet. This new food seems to be working well for her system. Stella's adoptive parents will need to commit to a special diet and treats for her so as not to cause flare-ups of her skin and ears. Stella is up to date with DACPP, Bordatella, Rabies and is spayed and microchipped.
