Health Notes:  Yara came into care as an owner surrender. Since being with Hart it was discovered that Yara had some skin irritation from a possible allergy. Since being treated with a professional shampoo as well as being fed a hypoallergenic food she is good as new! Yara is up to date with DACPP, rabies, bordatella and antiparasitics. She has been spayed and  microchipped.

Notes from her foster home:

Yara is the cuddliest little baby you could ever find. She loves to be around her people, and will take snuggles any time she can get them.

She's incredibly smart, and knows Sit, Wait, Stay, Down, Off, Shake, High Five, and is working on Spin!

She has some separation anxiety and is still afraid of her crate, so we leave her in the living room with a baby gate up and she snoozes with our resident dog and cats until we come home - then she does her Snoopy happy dance because she's so excited to see us!

She adores our animals, and would love to have a furry friend to play with.

She takes a low dose anxiety medication every day, and it has really helped her to settle in and feel comfortable. She takes a little while to get comfortable in new situations and with new people, but once she knows she's safe she calms right down.

Yara needs a calm, loving human who can give her steady, gentle direction and lots of love. She will reward you with the bestest pitty cuddles and lots of kisses!

Ideal Home: Yara loves people and loves to cuddle however she would do best in a quieter home that has patience and willingness to work with her on her anxiety. She does well with other dogs and may benefit from having another confident dog around. Yara enjoys going on multiple shorter walks each day.
