Why did you get into fostering?
Fostering has been a dream of mine since I was just a young one!
My dad had worked with animal control and helped save any critter
he could. That's where my love and compassion for animals was
learned. I knew I wanted to help, just like my dad!
Which hart dogs have you fostered?
Rose, Lucky, Bramble and Baker!
What has been the most rewarding aspect to
fostering?
The most rewarding aspect would definitely have to be watching
these pups and dogs go onto living a happy, loving life. Without
the foster homes, many of these dogs wouldn't have a chance.
When individuals think it will be too much work or too
emotionally taxing, what feedback do you have for
them?
My feedback would be that I felt the exact same way! I was worried
I wouldn't be able to send my fosters off to their forever homes.
But after my first foster found a wonderful home, I couldn't be
anything but happy and excited for her. Her chance at a real life.
The foster homes are so, so involved in the adoption process it
really puts your mind at ease as to where and who your foster is
going to.
If your foster dog(s) could speak, what do you think
they would say to you?
They would thank me, and the entire hart team. Everyone works so
hard to help as many of these dogs out! They would definitely want
me to try and help the hart group to grow, so we can save even more
innocent, precious lives!
